Belgium's Financial Services and Markets Authority (FSMA) has issued a public warning regarding unauthorized investment firms that falsely claim to hold regulatory approval from the authority. The regulator reported receiving numerous complaints from consumers who were approached by deceptive investment entities. To fabricate legitimacy, these fraudulent operators display forged FSMA certificates on their websites and attach them to direct correspondence with potential investors. The FSMA confirmed that these documents are entirely fake and were never authorized or issued by the regulator. The FSMA identified the following entities utilizing these fraudulent certificates: - Aether Groups Inc. (aethergroups.com) - Alphixmine Incorporation (alphixmine.com) - B-Smartfolio Inc. (b-smartfolio.com) - Dreamquest Ltd. (dreamquestlimited.com) - Maxi Wealth Inc. (maxi-wealth.org) - Mediterranean Holdings Limited (mediterraneanholdings.com) - Rexivea Miners Inc. None of these companies are registered with or authorized by the FSMA to offer financial services or investment products in or from Belgium. Given the strong indications of investment fraud, the FSMA has referred these cases to judicial authorities. Investors are urged to exercise extreme caution and verify any financial provider's credentials directly through the FSMA register before committing funds. The regulator also reiterated that it never contacts individuals to recover lost investments, demand fee or tax payments, or request sensitive financial details.
