The Financial Services and Markets Authority (FSMA) of Belgium has issued an extensive warning regarding the persistent threat posed by fraudulent online trading platforms. These unauthorized entities lure retail investors with promises of fast, low-risk, and unusually high returns on forex, commodities, and cryptocurrency investments, leading to significant financial losses. According to the regulatory alert, fraudsters deploy several sophisticated methods to initiate contact with prospective victims. These include fabricated celebrity endorsements on social media, malicious lead-generation websites, dating app profiles (such as Tinder, Bumble, or Happn), unsolicited text or WhatsApp messages, and referrals disguised as hot tips from acquaintances. Once contact is made, operators promote unrealistically high returns to entice users into creating an account. The scam usually begins with an initial deposit around 250 euros. In many instances, scammers convince victims to install remote desktop software on their computers or smartphones under the pretext of assisting with registration or fund transfers. This access allows perpetrators to install spyware, manipulate files, or execute unauthorized transactions directly from the victim's bank account. After receiving the initial funds, the bogus platform displays falsified dashboard metrics and manipulated trade results, giving the false illusion of rapid, profitable growth. Criminals then exert relentless psychological pressure—through persistent phone calls, artificial time constraints, and outright intimidation—to demand larger capital commitments. When victims attempt to withdraw their funds or supposed earnings, operators refuse to process the requests, fabricating demands for upfront taxes, clearance fees, or administrative penalties. Some operations operate as pyramid schemes, relying entirely on fresh participant deposits until the structure inevitably collapses and the website goes offline. The FSMA specifically identified three lead-generation sites used to channel victims into fraudulent networks: Financourse (financourse.com), Investhub 3.0 (investhub30.com), and Quantum AI (operating via quantumaiplatform.com, quantumtradingnl.com, and thequantumaiapp.com). Additionally, the regulator added numerous unauthorized trading platforms and clone firms to its blacklist. Among the flagged entities are: - 24Yield (Clone) (24yield.com) - Accuro Group (Clone) - Aptos (aptos-ai.com, webtrader.aptos-ai.co) - Asterax (asterax.com, h5.asterax.vip, h5.asterax.top, asteraxcrypt.com) - Avatradex / Avatrade (Clone) (avatradeshow.com, avatradegood.com) - CM Prime (platform.cmcprime.co, cm-prime.co) - Core-Invest (coreinv.net) - Eurofingo (eurofingo.net) - Fintelligence (fin-telligence.com, webtrader.fin-telligence.net) - FlowBitEnergy (flowbitenergy.com) - Galidix (galidix.com, trading-area.galidix-v5.com) - Horizons28 (area.horizons28.net, Horizons28.com) - Ikon-markets (ikon-markets.com) - Imarketstrade (imarketstrade.org, imarketstrade.net) - LuxNordic (Clone) (lux-nordic.com) - Luxtious (luxtious.com) - Millenium-Capital (milleniumbusiness-capitals.com) - MS Global Finance - NewApexWay (newApexway.com) - NOSW Exchange (hw-gold.com, noswexs.com) - Pammdrex (pammdrex.com) - Peak Rock Island (peakrockisland.com) - PJPInvest (pjpinvest.com) - Polkadot Heritage Limited (polkadotheritagelimited.com) - PrimeUPartner (primeupartner.com) - Quantiumax (quantiumax.com, quantiumax.net, webtrader.quantiumax.net, webtrader.quanti-max.agency) - Rineplex (rineplex.com) - SafeCrown (safecrown.net) - Skifor (web.skifor.com) - TitansBenefit (titansbenefit.com, titans-benefit.com, titansplan.com) - UniSmartMove (unismartmove.com) - Zestrend (webtrader.zes2.com) Investors who have interacted with any of these platforms are advised to immediately cease all communication and stop transferring funds. Victims should notify their financial institutions without delay, document all correspondence and account records, and lodge a formal report with law enforcement and financial regulatory authorities. The FSMA also cautions the public against 'recovery room' scams, where fraudulent outfits contact previous victims promising to recover lost funds for an upfront fee.
