The Financial Services and Markets Authority (FSMA) of Belgium has issued an urgent warning to the public regarding fraudulent online trading platforms. These rogue entities rely on deceptive online marketing campaigns, including fake celebrity endorsements, to lure victims with unrealistic promises of quick and effortless financial gains. According to the regulatory authority, scammers deploy several outreach methods to capture potential investors. These include fake advertisements utilizing the unauthorized likeness of famous personalities, misleading marketing websites, deceptive social media profiles, romance and dating application contacts, and unsolicited direct messages sent via SMS or WhatsApp pretending to be accidental texts. Once an individual expresses interest, they are directed to open an account and deposit funds, typically beginning with an initial sum of around 250 euros. In many instances, fraudsters offer remote technical assistance to execute transfers, allowing them to gain control over the victim's device and install malicious software or spyware. After receiving the funds, the platform displays manipulated, fictitious trading profits on a simulated dashboard. Operatives then apply intense psychological pressure through relentless phone calls, time-sensitive investment bonuses, or explicit threats to extract larger deposits. When victims attempt to withdraw their funds, the fraudsters manufacture various pretexts to deny payouts, demanding additional fees or fictitious tax payments before cutting off communication entirely. The FSMA also warned of secondary recovery room scams, where fraudsters re-target prior victims under the guise of asset recovery services for an upfront fee. The FSMA identified several funnel websites responsible for redirecting consumers to fraudulent brokers: Gas Folex (the-nft-profit.com), Immediate Apex (bitcoin-revolution.software, immediate-apex.com, immediateapexai.com), Immediate DexAir (immediatedexair.net), Immediate GPT (immediategp.com, immediategp.org, immediate-gpt.com, immediategpt.org), Oil Folex (gasfolex.com), and Proficator (proficator.com). Additionally, the FSMA strongly advises against engaging with the following unauthorized trading platforms and clone operations: Aevo Limited (aevo.ltd), Agile Traders (agile-traders.com), AlgosOne (algosone.ai), Amibit (amibit.cfd), Apex Trade (apex-trade.capital, platform.apex-trade.app), Arbitrum Invest (arbitruminvest.com, arbitruminvest.io, webtrader.arbitruminvest-vip.io), BlingXE (blingxe.com, blingxeglobal.com), Cexcapitals (cexcapitals.com), CryptoAllDay (cryptoallday.com), CryptoLogicIQ (cryptologiciq.com), Curion Finance (curion-finance.com), Deal Markets (deal-markets.com), Finflex (finflex.org), Global CIM (globalcim.com), Guru4invest (guru4invest.io, platform.pltf-tchg.io, guru4invest.com), ICL Markets (iclmarkets.com, iclmarkets1.com, iclmarkets3.com, iclmarkets5.com, icl-markets.com, iclmarkets7.com, iclmarkets8.com), Innvester (innvester.com, innvester.net), KeyWealth (keywealthltd.com, keywealthltd.net), Link-Traders (link-traders.com), Market Makers (marketmakers.cc, marketmakers.website), Pexotera (pexotera.com), Platinum Stock (platinum-stock.com), Private Soft Solutions (privatesoftsolutions.com), Pulse Trade (pulse-trade.io, webtrader.pulse-trade.ac, pulse-trade.cc), QuantumWins (quantumwins.com), RIMCgroup (rimcgroup.com), Robo Global Markets Clone (cfd.r-globalmarkets.info, cfd.robo-globalmarkets.net), Six Digital Markets / Six Digital Exchange Clone (sixdigitalexchange.com, sixdigitalmarkets.ai), TheProfitSupp (theprofitsupp.com, theprofitsupp.net), VT markets (vtmarkets.com, vtmarkets.net), and Xfers Capital Clone (xfer-capital.com). If you have engaged with any of these platforms, the regulator recommends immediately cutting off all communication and stopping any further payments. Contact your bank or financial institution promptly to report unauthorized transactions, preserve all records and communications as evidence, lodge a complaint with local law enforcement, and remain vigilant against recovery room fraud attempts.
