The Belgian Financial Services and Markets Authority (FSMA) has issued a public warning alerting investors to the persistent threat of fraudulent online trading platforms. These unregulated entities lure prospective victims with promises of rapid and effortless returns, concealing sophisticated investment fraud schemes that frequently cause severe financial losses. According to the FSMA, fraudulent platforms rely on multiple deceptive tactics to initiate contact with consumers. These methods include fabricated advertisements featuring public figures, dedicated recruitment websites, fake profiles on social networks and dating applications (such as Tinder, Bumble, and Happn), misdirected text or WhatsApp messages, and unsolicited referrals from acquaintances. Across all channels, operators entice users with promises of extraordinary profits delivered in record time. Once an investor registers, they are typically instructed to deposit an initial sum, often around 250 euros. In certain scenarios, fraudsters request remote computer access under the pretext of helping users execute bank transfers, allowing them to install spyware or malicious software. The trading dashboards are manipulated to display fictitious gains, as no actual trading takes place. Scammers subsequently escalate pressure on victims through relentless phone calls, urgent limited-time promotions, and threats to compel additional deposits. When victims attempt to withdraw their funds, the operators block the requests. While small initial withdrawals are occasionally permitted to build trust, subsequent withdrawal attempts are refused under fabricated pretexts, such as mandatory tax payments or exorbitant administrative fees. The FSMA highlighted that some of these operations function as pyramid schemes, relying on funds from new recruits to pay early participants until the structure inevitably collapses and the operators disappear with all deposited funds. The FSMA identified the following onboarding website that has directed consumers toward fraudulent trading operations: - Finance Legend (financelegend.org) The regulator strongly advises the public against engaging with the following fraudulent platforms and clone entities: - Aurudium (aurudium.com, webtrader.graftey-battex.com) - BerryPAX (berrypax.com) - Boosty Flow (boostyflow.com) - Chilla Capital (Clone) / FXB Exchange (fxbexchange.com) - Deal-Traders (deal-traders.com) - Fintradix (fintradix.com, trading-area.fintradix-v4.com, fin-tradix.com) - HashXCapital (hashxcapital.com) - Lamaco (Clone) (lamaco.org, user.lamaco.ltd) - Lesrouleaux (lesrouleaux.com, webtrader.garnetix.tech) - Nobu Invest (nobuinvest.com, nobu-invest.com) - Priv-Solutions (priv-solutions.com, web.priv-solutions.com/d/trading) - ProfitBee (profit-bee.com, profit-bee.org) - RiseGrandAction (risegrandaction.com) - TheExcellFuture / ThExcelFuture (theexcellfuture.com, thexcelfuture.com) - Total-Profits (total-profits.com, astrotechr.com) - Windelagence (windelagence.com) - XH Pro / XH Pro Global Limited (pc.xhpro.net, xhproltd.com) The FSMA emphasizes that this blacklist is not exhaustive. Investors are urged to verify that financial providers possess valid authorizations before depositing any money. For individuals who have already interacted with or transferred money to any of these entities, the FSMA recommends taking the following steps: - Immediately cease all transactions and sever all communication with the platform to avoid further manipulation or extortion. - Contact your financial institution promptly if unauthorized transfers or payments were made. - Report the fraudulent activity to local law enforcement and notify the FSMA. - Retain comprehensive documentation, including correspondence, account statements, and transaction screenshots. - Exercise caution regarding recovery room scams, where fraudsters contact previous victims offering to recover stolen assets for an upfront fee.
