The Financial Services and Markets Authority (FSMA) in Belgium has released a public warning regarding several fraudulent investment entities that falsely claim to hold a license from the regulator. According to the supervisory body, multiple consumers have reported being targeted by these bogus firms.
To manufacture credibility, these fraudulent entities display fake certificates allegedly issued by the FSMA on their websites and in direct communications with prospective investors. The FSMA has clarified that these certificates are entirely fabricated, were never drafted or approved by the authority, and constitute pure fraud.
The regulatory authority specifically identified the following unauthorized entities utilizing these counterfeit certificates:
- Aether Groups Inc. (aethergroups.com)
- Alphixmine Incorporation (alphixmine.com)
- B-Smartfolio Inc. (b-smartfolio.com)
- Dreamquest Ltd. (dreamquestlimited.com)
- Maxi Wealth Inc. (maxi-wealth.org)
- Mediterranean Holdings Limited (mediterraneanholdings.com)
- Rexivea Miners Inc.
None of the aforementioned entities are registered with or licensed by the FSMA to offer financial products or services in or from Belgium. The FSMA has stated that these operations appear to be conducting investment fraud and has referred the case file to judicial authorities for further action.
Additionally, the FSMA reminded the public that it does not possess the authority to recover lost investment funds on behalf of victims, nor does it charge recovery fees or demand the payment of taxes. The regulator emphasizes that it will never initiate contact with investors to ask for financial credentials or require payment for services. Investors are urged to verify the registration status of any financial service provider through official regulatory registries before committing funds.
