The Belgian Financial Services and Markets Authority (FSMA) has issued a public warning regarding the deceptive activities of unauthorized lenders targeting consumers with bogus credit offers. The financial watchdog has identified 14 fraudulent entities operating online without the required licensing or regulatory approval.
According to the FSMA, fraudsters reach out to potential victims through unsolicited contact on social media platforms like Facebook and WhatsApp, direct emails, or online advertising. Exploiting difficult economic conditions where consumers may be seeking supplemental funds, these operators present loans with unrealistically attractive conditions. These terms often include high loan amounts, exceptionally low interest rates, and assurances that no background or credit checks will be performed.
To build false credibility, these fraudulent entities frequently pose as authorized credit institutions or registered intermediaries. In several cases, they impersonate established, reputable credit providers by misusing their names and corporate logos in identity theft and cloning operations.
Once a consumer engages with the offer, the scammers require upfront payments before the promised funds can be released. Fraudsters justify these advance charges as administrative expenses, file fees, or mandatory insurance premiums designed to protect against default. These fees are entirely fabricated. Once victims transfer the requested advance amounts, the perpetrators cut off all communication, making recovery of the paid sums virtually impossible.
The FSMA has explicitly listed the following 14 unauthorized and fraudulent websites and entities:
- Barivex Union (www.barivexunion.com)
- Bldn Financing (www.bldnfinancing.com)
- CST Efinenciën (www.cst-efinancien.com)
- Dexia Finance (www.dexiafinance.com)
- Dior Kredit (https://www.dior-kredit.be)
- EU Consultant Ltd. (www.euconsultantltd.com)
- Hag Finance (www.hagfinance.com)
- Kaiser Finanz (https://kaiserfinanz.com)
- Mijn Direct Lening (https://mijn-directlening.com)
- Plus Lening (https://pluslening.com)
- Snel Direct Krediet (https://sneldirectkrediet.com)
- Snel Geld (https://snel-geld.com/)
- Torfs Groups (https://torfscapital.com)
- Veilige Lening (https://veiligelening.com)
The regulator strongly advises consumers against engaging with any credit offers from these entities. To avoid falling victim to advance-fee credit schemes, the FSMA recommends treating unsolicited credit proposals with extreme caution, remaining skeptical of terms that appear unusually favorable, and never paying upfront administrative or insurance fees for a loan. Consumers should verify whether an entity is formally registered and authorized using the official FSMA search tool and report any suspicious financial providers directly to the authority.
