The Financial Services and Markets Authority (FSMA) of Belgium has issued a public warning concerning multiple entities offering deceptive alternative investment opportunities in the wine, energy, and real estate sectors. According to the regulatory watchdog, these operators target consumers by capitalizing on interest in alternative markets. Common pitches include presenting wine as a rare asset with guaranteed price appreciation, marketing renewable energy and commodity projects, and offering fractional overseas real estate investments promising lucrative revenues. In practice, the actual value of these underlying assets is difficult to verify, the promised returns are unrealistic, and investors risk losing part or all of their capital. The FSMA explicitly identified the following entities and fraudulent websites in its alert: - Beit Capital Advisor(s) (Clone entity) – acces-beit-ca.com - Core Asset Wealth Management – acg-wealth.com - Financière FVS – financierefvs.com - JMBE Finances – jmbe-finances.com - Kelenn Finance – kelennfinance.com The regulator highlighted several common indicators associated with these fraudulent investment offers: - Unsolicited contact initiated by phone or email - Unrealistic promises of high or guaranteed returns with downplayed risks - Artificial urgency and high-pressure sales tactics pushing victims to invest quickly - A complete lack of transparency regarding costs, fees, and operational risks - Substantial obstacles or complete refusals when victims attempt to withdraw or recover capital - Requests to send funds to offshore bank accounts or accounts held in the names of unrelated third parties The FSMA advises investors to exercise extreme vigilance, independently verify whether a company is legally authorized to provide investment services, and refrain from committing funds under pressure. Consumers who encounter suspicious entities are encouraged to report them to the regulatory authority.
