The Financial Services and Markets Authority (FSMA) of Belgium has issued a public warning regarding the escalating risks associated with fraudulent trading platforms. Scammers are actively using deceptive advertisements featuring celebrities on social media, dating applications, recruitment websites, and unsolicited text or WhatsApp messages to lure victims with unrealistic promises of fast and effortless financial returns.
According to the FSMA, the fraudulent scheme generally unfolds in several stages. Victims are initially convinced to make an initial deposit, often around 250 euros. In some instances, fraudsters request remote access to the victim's computer or mobile device under the pretense of assisting with transfers, which exposes users to spyware and malware. Once the initial payment is made, the platforms display fabricated account balances and manipulated profits to simulate successful trading. Victims are then pressured through urgent calls or threats to invest larger sums. When investors attempt to withdraw their funds, the operators demand extra fees or taxes before terminating all communication and disappearing with the money.
The regulatory watchdog identified several lead-generation websites acting as funnels to direct users to fraudulent operations:
- Gas Folex (the-nft-profit.com)
- Immediate Apex (bitcoin-revolution.software, immediate-apex.com, immediateapexai.com)
- Immediate DexAir (immediatedexair.net)
- Immediate GPT (immediategp.com, immediategp.org, immediate-gpt.com, immediategpt.org)
- Oil Folex (gasfolex.com)

Investors who have interacted with these entities are advised to cease all communication immediately and make no further payments. Victims should notify their financial institutions, report the incident to local police and the FSMA, and preserve all relevant documentation, transaction histories, and communication records. The authority also cautions against secondary "recovery room" fraud, where scammers pose as asset recovery specialists to demand advance fees under the false promise of retrieving lost funds.
