He has operated online through the domains cedricbergans.com and bcedufin-academy.com, both of which have since been disabled. Publicly, he presented himself as providing coaching services, including coaching on financial matters and investment training. Information obtained by the FSMA indicates that Cédric Bergans has been providing investment advice and services while collecting money from consumers for these purposes without the required regulatory approval. Additionally, his promotional materials indicated that he conducted training sessions focused on forex trading. The regulator highlighted that there is a strict prohibition on the distribution of certain over-the-counter derivative products, such as forex, to retail consumers in Belgium. The FSMA also reminded the public of the legal risks associated with pyramid schemes, noting that participating in such schemes constitutes an unfair practice and may expose participants to criminal liability alongside significant financial losses.
