The Financial Services and Markets Authority (FSMA) of Belgium has issued a formal warning to the public regarding the unauthorized financial activities of an individual named Cédric Bergans. According to the regulatory watchdog, Mr. Cédric Bergans is not registered with the FSMA and holds no authorization to offer regulated financial products or investment services to Belgian consumers. In addition to operating under his own name, he has been using the trading name "BC Edufin Academy." A bankruptcy procedure regarding this entity was opened on February 16, 2026. Mr. Bergans has listed his office location as 31 Rue Joseph Heusdens, 4460 Grâce-Hollogne, Belgium. He has operated online through the domains cedricbergans.com and bcedufin-academy.com, both of which have since been disabled. Publicly, he presented himself as providing coaching services, including coaching on financial matters and investment training. Information obtained by the FSMA indicates that Cédric Bergans has been providing investment advice and services while collecting money from consumers for these purposes without the required regulatory approval. Additionally, his promotional materials indicated that he conducted training sessions focused on forex trading. The regulator highlighted that there is a strict prohibition on the distribution of certain over-the-counter derivative products, such as forex, to retail consumers in Belgium. The FSMA also reminded the public of the legal risks associated with pyramid schemes, noting that participating in such schemes constitutes an unfair practice and may expose participants to criminal liability alongside significant financial losses. Consumers are strongly advised to refuse any financial services or investment offers promoted by Cédric Bergans or BC Edufin Academy. The FSMA urges investors to exercise extreme caution and always check the official FSMA registers before engaging with any financial services provider.
