The Financial Services and Markets Authority (FSMA) of Belgium has issued a public warning regarding two entities conducting unauthorized financial activities: Aaron Venture Capital and Aurora Capital Venture. According to the regulatory notice, neither Aaron Venture Capital (operating via aaronventurecapital.com) nor Aurora Capital Venture (operating via auroracapitalventure.com) is authorized to provide investment services within Belgium. The authority strongly urges the public to refrain from responding to offers made by these companies and to avoid transferring funds to any accounts associated with them. Information gathered by the FSMA indicates that these entities may be operating as 'boiler rooms.' In typical boiler room operations, fraudsters contact consumers through unsolicited communications, particularly cold calling, to sell shares or other financial instruments. While these entities often present professional websites and standard documentation to appear legitimate, they frequently peddle fictitious or worthless financial products. In these schemes, victims are typically persuaded to make a modest initial deposit that quickly shows fictitious profits. The operators then use high-pressure tactics to solicit larger, repeated investments. When investors attempt to withdraw their capital, the operators demand additional payments or cause the account balances to disappear, leaving victims unable to recover their money. The FSMA advises all investors to verify the identity and regulatory standing of any entity offering financial services before committing funds, to be wary of unsolicited solicitations or requests to transfer money to offshore or unrelated accounts, and to exercise extreme caution if withdrawal requests are met with demands for additional fees or taxes.
