The Financial Conduct Authority (FCA) has warned that quorumcapitalltd.com is an unauthorised clone firm impersonating Quorum Capital Limited, an FCA-authorised business. Its authorised contact details are +4402071860898, [email protected], and www.quorumcapital.co.uk. The FCA said the authorised firm has no connection with the clone. Fraudsters may combine genuine firm information with false email addresses, telephone numbers, postal addresses or reference numbers, and may change those details over time. People who deal with the clone would not have access to the Financial Ombudsman Service for complaints and would not be protected by the Financial Services Compensation Scheme if the firm failed. The FCA said this makes recovering money unlikely if the fraudsters take funds and then cease operating. Payments sent to a scam account on or after 7 October 2024 may be covered by protections introduced by the Payment Systems Regulator, depending on the circumstances.
