FCA Warns of pinnaclesweb.com Clone Firm Impersonating Pinnacle Wealth Management

The Financial Conduct Authority (FCA) has warned that pinnaclesweb.com is an unauthorised clone firm pretending to represent Pinnacle Wealth Management LLP, a genuine FCA-authorised business. Fraudsters have been using the name, telephone number, email address and website associated with pinnaclesweb.com to make the operation appear legitimate and contact potential victims about financial services. The FCA-listed clone firm uses the website pinnaclesweb.com, telephone number +447741354988 and email address [email protected]. The regulator said fraudsters may also use other false contact details, including postal addresses and Firm Reference Numbers, and may combine them with information belonging to authorised firms. The genuine business being impersonated is Pinnacle Wealth Management LLP, Firm Reference Number 582859, based at One Canada Square, 10th floor, Canary Wharf, London, E14 5AB. Its listed contact details include +4402080420701, [email protected] and www.pinnaclewealth.co.uk. The genuine firm has no connection with the clone. The FCA said people dealing with the unauthorised firm would not have access to the Financial Ombudsman Service for complaints and would not be protected by the Financial Services Compensation Scheme if the firm failed. It added that people who sent money to a fraudster on or after 7 October 2024 may be covered by protections introduced by the Payment Systems Regulator, depending on the circumstances and payment involved. Consumers should check a financial business through the FCA Firm Checker before sending money or sharing information, using the contact details shown there rather than details supplied in an unexpected approach.
