The UK Financial Conduct Authority (FCA) has issued an official warning regarding Nevexglobal, identifying the operation as an unauthorized clone firm targeting consumers. Clone firms attempt to deceive the public by copying the details of genuine, regulated entities to make their fraudulent offerings appear credible. According to the regulator, fraudsters behind Nevexglobal are falsely claiming to represent the Global New Discovery Fund, an authentic fund recognised by the FCA that holds no connection to this clone operation. Regulators have identified specific channels used by the scammers, including the websites www.nevexglobal.com and m.nevexglobal.com, along with the email address [email protected]. The FCA warns that operators of clone websites frequently change their contact information, phone numbers, or domain variations, and may mix genuine registration data with false information to mislead prospective investors. Engaging with an unauthorized firm exposes investors to substantial financial risk. Because Nevexglobal is not authorized by the FCA, clients will not have access to the Financial Ombudsman Service or protection under the Financial Services Compensation Scheme (FSCS) if things go wrong. Investors are urged to exercise extreme caution and verify the credentials of any financial firm via the official FCA Financial Services Register before transferring funds or sharing personal details. Contact should always be initiated through verified phone numbers and addresses listed on the official regulatory register rather than details provided by unsolicited communications.
