The UK Financial Conduct Authority (FCA) has warned that several websites are impersonating authorised firm Flagstone Group Ltd. The unauthorised operation is using the names flagstonesavings.com, Flagstoneukportal.com, flagstoneimwealth.com, flagstonukeportal.com and flagstoneportals.com to make its services appear genuine. The FCA says the clone has no connection with Flagstone Group Ltd.
The FCA identified two email addresses associated with the operation, although they are redacted in the warning. It cautioned that scammers may use other false contact details, combine them with details belonging to legitimate firms, or change them over time. The websites named in the warning are Flagstoneukportal.com, flagstoneimwealth.com, flagstonukeportal.com and flagstoneportals.com.
The genuine firm is Flagstone Group LTD, listed by the FCA under Firm Reference Number 605504. Its registered contact details are 1st Floor, 26-27 Oxendon Street, Clareville House, London, SW1Y 4EL, United Kingdom; telephone +44 20 3745 8130; and website https://www.flagstoneim.com/. The regulator advises consumers to check a firm’s authorisation and permissions using the FCA Firm Checker, then contact it only through the details shown there, particularly if approached unexpectedly.
People who deal with the clone will not have access to the Financial Ombudsman Service for complaints and will not be covered by the Financial Services Compensation Scheme if the firm fails. The FCA says payments sent to a fraudster on or after 7 October 2024 may fall under protections introduced by the Payment Systems Regulator. Anyone who believes they have been approached by a clone firm can report it to the FCA on 0800 111 6768 or through its contact form.
