The UK Financial Conduct Authority (FCA) has issued a public warning against an unauthorized operation trading as Safe Wallet and running via the websites greenbit.fit and safe-wallet.io.
According to the regulatory watchdog, this entity has been offering and promoting financial products and services to consumers in the United Kingdom without the legally mandated authorization or registration. Operating without regulatory oversight poses significant risks to consumers, as unauthorized platforms do not provide standard protections.
Entities and Contact Details Identified by the FCA:
- Name: Safe Wallet / greenbit.fit / safe-wallet.io
- Websites: https://greenbit.fit/, https://safe-wallet.io/
- Emails: [email protected], [email protected]
- Postal Address: 39 Souter Head Rd, Aberdeen, AB12 3LF
The regulator notes that fraudulent or unauthorized operators frequently falsify or cycle through contact details, including postal addresses and domain names, or use details belonging to legitimate entities to appear genuine.
Consumers engaging with unauthorized firms are not covered by the Financial Ombudsman Service in the event of a dispute, nor do they have access to the Financial Services Compensation Scheme (FSCS) should the operation collapse. The FCA advises the public to verify the authorization status of any financial service provider on the official Financial Services Register before committing funds.
