The UK Financial Conduct Authority (FCA) has warned that Nova Financial Group Limited, also known as NV-Group, is not authorised to provide financial services in the UK and may be targeting people there. The regulator advises consumers to avoid dealing with the firm and to beware of scams.
The FCA lists the firm’s websites as trader.nv-group.cc and nv-group.cc/index.html. It also gives a Canary Wharf address in London and the telephone numbers 447441948821 and +447575508443. The regulator cautions that unauthorised firms may use incorrect or changing contact details, including details that belong to other businesses or individuals.
Consumers who deal with the firm would not have access to the Financial Ombudsman Service to complain, and would not be protected by the Financial Services Compensation Scheme if the firm failed. The FCA says people who sent money to a fraudster on or after 7 October 2024 may be covered by protections introduced by the Payment Systems Regulator; anyone affected can check the regulator’s guidance on payments to scam accounts.
Before using a financial firm, consumers can check the FCA Firm Checker to confirm it is authorised and has permission to provide the service being offered. Anyone approached by an unauthorised firm can report it to the FCA by calling 0800 111 6768 or using the regulator’s contact form.
