The UK Financial Conduct Authority (FCA) has warned consumers not to deal with Fx Quantix Option, saying the firm is unauthorised and may be targeting people in the UK. The warning concerns a business that may be providing or promoting financial services or products without the regulator’s permission. The FCA lists Fx Quantix Option’s website as www.fxquantixoption.com and gives an address at Riverside Building, County Hall, London, SE1 7PB. It also lists telephone number +15623716860 and an email contact. The regulator cautions that unauthorised firms may use incorrect or changing contact details, including details belonging to other businesses or individuals, to appear genuine. Consumers who deal with the firm would not have access to the Financial Ombudsman Service to pursue a complaint and would not be protected by the Financial Services Compensation Scheme if the firm failed. The FCA says it is unlikely customers would recover their money in that situation. People who sent money to a scam account on or after 7 October 2024 may have protections introduced by the Payment Systems Regulator, depending on their circumstances. The FCA advises checking its Firm Checker to confirm that a financial business is authorised and permitted to provide the service being offered. Anyone who believes they have been approached by an unauthorised firm can contact the FCA on 0800 111 6768 or use its online contact form.
