FCA Issues Warning Against Clone Firm Impersonating Flagstone Investment Management

The UK Financial Conduct Authority (FCA) has published a warning regarding a clone firm that is illegally using the details of an authorized entity to promote financial services. The unauthorized entity operates under the name Flagstone Investment Management, exploiting the previous registered name of a genuine, regulated UK business to deceive potential investors. Clone firms routinely copy legitimate corporate information, including company names, addresses, and regulatory registration numbers, to build false credibility. In this case, fraudsters are contacting consumers directly while masquerading as the authorized business. According to the FCA warning, the fraudsters have been using several unauthorized email addresses to carry out their scheme, including [email protected], [email protected], and [email protected]. Scammers may also deploy other false contact details, including phone numbers and spoofed documentation, or mix fake information with authentic corporate records. The genuine, FCA-authorized firms whose credentials are being misused are Flagstone Group LTD (Firm Reference Number 605504) and Flagstone Investment Management Limited (Firm Reference Number 676754), both based at 1st Floor, 26-27 Oxendon Street, Clareville House, London, SW1Y 4EL. The legitimate entities have no association with the clone operation. Investors who engage with unauthorized clone firms lose access to key regulatory protections. Transactions made with unauthorized entities are not covered by the Financial Ombudsman Service or the Financial Services Compensation Scheme (FSCS), meaning consumers are unlikely to recover funds if the entity collapses or misappropriates deposits. Consumers are strongly urged to verify firm credentials directly through the official FCA Register before committing funds.
