SEC to Hold November Roundtable on Machine-Readable Data and Superintelligence
The SEC will hold a public roundtable on Nov. 9, 2026, examining the use, risks and costs of machine-understandable data and superintelligence.
The U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) will hold a public roundtable on Nov. 9, 2026, to discuss the use of machine-understandable data and “Super Intelligence” (SI), including related risks and costs. The discussion will take place at the agency’s headquarters in Washington, D.C., from 9 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Eastern Standard Time.
Joshua White, the SEC’s chief economist and director of its Division of Economic and Risk Analysis, said the event is intended to gather feedback from market participants on how the market and investing public use machine-understandable data in SI solutions. The feedback will help SEC staff assess those uses and consider how the Commission can better facilitate SI, the agency said.
The roundtable will be open to the public and streamed live on SEC.gov, with a recording to be posted later. In-person attendance may be limited, and visitors will be subject to security checks. The SEC directed interested participants to the event webpage for the full agenda and additional information.
