UK FCA Warns Investors Against Clone Entity Nevexglobal
The UK Financial Conduct Authority (FCA) has issued an official warning regarding Nevexglobal, identifying the operation as an unauthorised clone entity targeting consumers in the United Kingdom. According to the regulatory notice, Nevexglobal has been contacting individuals while falsely claiming to represent an authorised financial services firm. The clone has misappropriated details associated with the Global New Discovery Fund, a recognised fund listed on the FCA's Financial Services Register. The regulator confirmed that the genuine fund has no connection to Nevexglobal. The FCA identified the websites www.nevexglobal.com and m.nevexglobal.com as domains associated with the clone entity. The regulator noted that operators of clone firms frequently use false contact details alongside genuine registration information to mislead prospective clients. Almost all firms and individuals offering, promoting, or carrying out financial services in the UK are legally required to be authorised or registered by the FCA. Because Nevexglobal is unauthorised, individuals who conduct business with the entity will not have access to the Financial Ombudsman Service or protection under the Financial Services Compensation Scheme (FSCS) should the firm fail. The FCA advised consumers to verify the credentials of any financial firm via the official Financial Services Register and to use confirmed contact information before entering into any financial transactions.
