FCA Sets June 2028 Trial Date for Lucy Beck Over Unauthorized Forex CFD Promotions
The UK Financial Conduct Authority (FCA) has announced that a trial date has been scheduled for Lucy Beck in connection with charges involving unauthorized financial promotions on social media platforms. Ms Beck appeared at Southwark Crown Court on 30 July 2026, where she entered a not guilty plea. Following the hearing, the court scheduled her trial to commence on 12 June 2028. The regulatory watchdog alleges that Ms Beck promoted the buying and selling of Foreign Exchange Contracts for Difference (CFDs) via websites and social media accounts without holding the required regulatory authorization. These actions are alleged to be in breach of sections 21 and 25 of the Financial Services and Markets Act 2000 (FSMA). According to court details, Ms Beck was born on 30 April 1994. The FCA has urged any individuals who believe they may have suffered financial losses in connection with this matter to reach out directly to the regulator's consumer contact centre. The prosecution forms part of the FCA's broader five-year strategy focusing on tackling financial crime. The regulator continues to advise consumers to verify the authorization status of any firm or individual marketing investment services via its official Firm Checker and to consult educational resources such as InvestSmart before making investment decisions.
