FCA Confirms EGR Wealth Limited Has Entered Administration
The Financial Conduct Authority (FCA) has confirmed that EGR Wealth Limited entered administration on 24 August 2026. Robert Goodhew and Geoff Bouchier of Kroll Advisory Limited have been appointed as joint administrators to manage the firm's affairs in accordance with insolvency law. EGR Wealth is an FCA-authorised firm that provided discretionary investment management services, managed client investment portfolios, and facilitated the transfer and administration of client investments. Prior to entering administration, the firm had agreed to a voluntary requirement on 24 July 2026 that placed restrictions on the regulated activities it could perform. The FCA stated that EGR Wealth remains authorised and supervised by the regulator while under administration, and the firm must continue to comply with regulatory standards. The regulator noted that EGR Wealth does not directly hold client money or custody assets. Instead, those assets are held by another regulated custodian firm subject to rules designed to safeguard customer funds in the event of an insolvency. Because EGR Wealth is insolvent, the FCA warned that the firm is unlikely to have sufficient funds to pay in full any outstanding compensation owed to clients who have lodged complaints. The joint administrators will collaborate with the Financial Services Compensation Scheme (FSCS) to evaluate next steps and determine potential compensation eligibility. Customers have been advised to maintain direct communication with the joint administrators and to exercise caution regarding third-party claims management companies or potential scam attempts attempting to exploit the firm's insolvency proceedings.
