CFTC Withdraws Proposed Rulemaking for Parts 37 and 38
The Commodity Futures Trading Commission has officially withdrawn its proposed rulemaking for Parts 37 and 38 to reconsider the regulatory framework in light of evolving market structures.
The Commodity Futures Trading Commission (CFTC) announced on September 15, 2025, that it is withdrawing its proposed rulemaking concerning Parts 37 and 38.
According to the official notice of withdrawal, the regulator decided to pull the proposal in order to reconsider how the rules would operate amidst recent industry developments, technological innovation, and evolving market structures.
