CFTC Warns Defrauded Traders Domain Investors of Upcoming July 28 Claims Deadline

The CFTC has issued an urgent notice to victims of the alleged Traders Domain fraud scheme, setting a July 28 deadline to file official claims through the receivership.

CFTC Warns Defrauded Traders Domain Investors of Upcoming July 28 Claims Deadline
The Commodity Futures Trading Commission's (CFTC) Division of Enforcement has issued an alert to customers of Traders Domain, reminding potential victims that the deadline to submit an official claim is July 28. Investors who believe they were affected by the alleged fraud scheme must complete the formal claims process by this cutoff date to remain eligible for any future monetary distributions resulting from court judgments or settlements. The regulator specifically emphasized that prior participation in the CFTC's voluntary, confidential customer survey, or any other preliminary submission previously provided to the agency, does not qualify an individual as a formal claimant. Affected investors must file an official claim through the court-appointed receivership process. The warning comes as part of ongoing litigation originating on September 30, 2024, when the CFTC filed a civil enforcement action in the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of Florida. The complaint alleges widespread fraud and misappropriation against multiple entities and individuals. Named corporate and individual defendants in the action include Traders Domain FX Ltd. (doing business as The Traders Domain), Ares Global Ltd. (doing business as Trubluefx), Algo Capital LLC, Algo FX Capital Advisor LLC (now Quant5 Advisor LLC), and Centurion Capital Group Inc. Individual defendants include Fredirick Teddy Joseph Safranko (also known as Ted Safranko), David William Negus-Romvari, Robert Collazo Jr., Juan Herman (also known as JJ Herman), John Fortini, Steven Likos, Michael Shannon Sims, Holton Buggs Jr., Alejandro Santiestaban (also known as Alex Santi), Gabriel Beltran, and Archie Rice. Through its ongoing enforcement action, the CFTC is pursuing full restitution for defrauded customers, disgorgement of ill-gotten gains, civil monetary penalties, permanent registration and trading bans, and permanent injunctions against further violations of the Commodity Exchange Act and CFTC regulations.
