CFTC and SEC Extend Form PF Amendments Compliance Date to October 2025

The Commodity Futures Trading Commission (CFTC) and the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) have jointly announced an extension of the compliance date for amendments to Form PF that were adopted on February 8, 2024. The previous compliance deadline of June 12, 2025, has been extended to October 1, 2025. Form PF serves as the confidential reporting form for certain SEC-registered investment advisers to private funds, including entities that are also registered with the CFTC as commodity pool operators or commodity trading advisers. According to the agencies, the extension is intended to provide filers with additional time to program and test their systems to comply with the updated reporting amendments. The release specifies that Form PF filers should continue to file the current version of the form until the extension release is published in the Federal Register.
