The CFTC Division of Market Oversight has issued a time-limited no-action letter to Kraken Derivatives Exchange Inc. regarding designated contract market dormancy procedures.
The Commodity Futures Trading Commission’s (CFTC) Division of Market Oversight has issued a no-action letter to Kraken Derivatives Exchange Inc., formerly known as Small Exchange Inc.
The regulatory relief specifically addresses certain designated contract market (DCM) procedures related to exchange dormancy. The Division of Market Oversight stated that the no-action position is time-limited and subject to the specific terms and conditions outlined in the official letter.
The action comes in response to a formal request from Kraken Derivatives Exchange Inc. to extend the previous no-action position granted to the entity under CFTC Letter No. 25-46.
