CFTC Extends Compliance Date for Derivatives Clearing Organization Reporting Rules
The CFTC Division of Clearing and Risk has issued a staff advisory delaying the compliance date for amended DCO daily reporting requirements to December 1, 2025.
The Commodity Futures Trading Commission’s (CFTC) Division of Clearing and Risk (DCR) has issued a staff advisory regarding the compliance date for daily reporting requirements applicable to registered derivatives clearing organizations (DCOs).
The daily reporting rules were previously amended by the regulator in August 2023, establishing an original compliance deadline of February 10, 2025.
Following the issuance of the staff advisory, DCR announced that it will not expect registered DCOs to meet the amended requirements until December 1, 2025. This relief applies on the condition that clearing organizations continue to comply with the prior version of the reporting requirements.
