The Commodity Futures Trading Commission has appointed Marc H. Sielski as its new Executive Director to lead administrative operations and internal modernization.

The Commodity Futures Trading Commission (CFTC) has announced the appointment of Marc H. Sielski as the agency's new Executive Director. In this role, Sielski will oversee the Commission's administrative operations to support mission execution and ensure effective stewardship of public resources. His scope of responsibilities includes strengthening core administrative functions, internal controls, finance and administration, procurement, human resources coordination, and technology. CFTC Chairman Selig stated that Sielski brings decades of experience across financial services and management consulting, with a background in enterprise transformation and operational excellence. Selig noted that Sielski will help ensure the agency's workforce and internal operations are effectively positioned as the regulator continues to modernize in response to evolving financial markets. Selig also recognized John Einstman, who served as acting executive director since October 2025, and confirmed that Einstman will remain with the Commission in a new role. Commenting on his new role, Sielski expressed his commitment to supporting the CFTC through continuous improvement, strong internal controls, and modernized service delivery across the agency in a fiscally responsible manner. Sielski holds a Bachelor of Business Administration in Finance and Investments, cum laude, from Baruch College.
